CRG Wears GREEN for a Day!
Yes, we love the cheer of the crowd when we make a big hit on an opposing jammer at a bout, or when we score multiple grand slams in one jam, but one of the Carolina Rollergirls’ most favorite cheer to hear is that of the crowd during our local St. Patrick’s Day Parade. “We love the people, and how we make the kids smile when we ride by on our skates!” – JoJo Gadget.

The Carolina Rollergirls have been participating in Raleigh’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival for the past 8 years, and we are just as excited this year as we were participating for the very first time in 2006. The 2014 St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held in downtown Raleigh on Saturday, March 15th at 12 pm, and the Wearin’ O’ the Green festival will continue after the parade in Moore square. CRG will be putting aside our red and black to sport some GREEN Irish pride for the crowd! Come out and enjoy watching the rollergirls skate around and spread the derby love during the parade and after at our favorite downtown hangouts! Don’t hesitate to say hi and meet your local roller derby team, who are always thrilled to meet you! For more information on the parade and festival, visit the link below.
