Carolina All-Stars vs. Brandywine Belligerents
The Carolina Rollergirls are wrapping up their 2013 season with a double header at Dorton Arena on Saturday, November 23rd at 3:00pm! The All-Stars and the Bootleggers play the A and B teams of the Brandywine Rollergirls from Chester County, PA. Proceeds from the event will benefit Girls Rock NC, a nonprofit that provides music and empowerment program to girls and women in the Triangle area of North Carolina.
At 3:00, the Carolina Bootleggers face the Brawlers. The Boots are coming off a recent, hard-fought loss against the Gate City Rollergirls where they scored in the low double-digits during the first half, but came together as a team to close with a close second half. Can the Boots bring that second-half fury when they take on the Brawlers?
At 5:00, the Carolina All-Stars take on the Belligerents. We haven’t seen the All-Stars skate together since they took 7th place at the WFTDA Division 2 playoffs in Kalamazoo, MI. The Belligerents, on the other hand, have a busy fall, bouting against Gotham’s new C-team in October and Richmond’s River City Rollergirls in early November.
On top of the derby action, there will be a silent auction to benefit Girls Rock, and an afterparty at Tir Na Nog Irish Pub.
