If you live in the 919 area code, you have probably heard that the Carolina Hurricanes and Raleigh will be hosting the NHL All-Star Game on Sunday and that a street festival is being held downtown to keep the celebration going all weekend. Carolina Roller Derby has been invited to be a part of NHL Wide Open and we are going big!
You can meet and hang out with your favorite rollergirls on East Martin St from 3pm-10pm on Friday and 10am- 6pm on Saturday.
As if being located near the NHL autograph station and the beer garden weren’t enough, at the Carolina Rollergirls tent and track you can find:
– derby demos and drills on a modified street track
– posters and hands on displays full of derby pics and info
– “Have your face painted like a rollergirl” for the kids (hockey designs also available)
– CRG merch and tickets for sale
– autographs and pictures with your favorite rollergirls
– and our Best Hits DVD will be playing continuously at the tent for your viewing pleasure.
We are so excited to have the opportunity to celebrate the NHL All-Star game with the Carolina Hurricanes and to spend our weekend with the community and our fans. You won’t want to miss this event and what CRG has in store! See you there!
