The Carolina Rollergirls will host the fourth of six North American WFTDA Officiating Clinics at Netsports in Morrisville, North Carolina on July 21st and 22nd. The WFTDA Officiating Clinics, which are open to officials of all levels, specialties, and affiliations, have been developed in order to promote standardization in roller derby officiating, and to provide officials with educational materials and exercises to help them hone their skills year round. The 2012 cycle of the clinics saw them expand broader than ever, with offerings in Glasgow, New Zealand, and Australia. The WFTDA Officiating Clinic hosted by Carolina promises to offer its attendees the latest officiating information and policies, vetted by a committee of WFTDA representatives dedicated to education in roller derby officiating.
Clinic participants are eligible to register for NSO or skating tracks at https://wftda.com/officiating/clinic-registration/861100041007. CRG is offering a room block with the Wingate Hotel, as well as shuttle transportation to and from the hotel, based on availability. All attendees should bring a notepad, pens and pencils, skates and gear (if skating), whistle and/or clipboard, stripes or NSO shirt, and cash for optional purchases of educational materials and lunch.
