Looking for a way to celebrate Earth Day 2012? The NC Museum of Natural Sciences is happy to provide you with an excellent solution. In addition to year-round exhibits such as Coastal NC, Mountains to Sea, Nature’s Explorers, Prehistoric NC, and the Living Conservatory the museum will be opening their newest wing on April 20th at 5pm. The opening will be 24 hours long and have a broad range of activities for visitors. The new wing will be the Nature Research Center, which will include interactive research labs, the SECU Daily Planet, a 10,000 gallon aquarium, a window on animal health, and much more!

The NC Museum of Natural Sciences has been fantastic sponsor of Carolina Rollergirls since 2007. They enjoy working with CRG because, “we have a strong sense of community and being a part of downtown Raleigh. Working with CRG enhances and strengthens this because the Carolina Rollergirls are also an integral part of our local community. Plus, it’s simply a LOT of fun!”
April is not the only exciting month at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, there are also other special exhibits to look forward to such as Astronomy Days, on May 19th & 20th, Storm Fest on June 16th, and Bug Fest on September 15th. As if all of these exciting events were not enough the museum has also begun showing 3D science films in their new 3D WRAL theater!
