The final home game of CRG’s season is always dedicated to a charity that holds great importance to our league. This year we chose to raise money and goods for InterAct, a non-profit agency that provides safety, support, and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault. This year’s fundraising was a great success. A portion of our door sales plus the proceeds from a silent auction brought the grand total of our donation to $1343! We had a very exciting selection of items as part of our silent auction, which contributed to its success. Many contributors were our own local sponsors:

Three of our skaters donated their old helmets for the auction, Beth Row, Aurora Thunder and Jojo Gadget. Daisy Rage gave an Appalachian DVD and CD bundle and a NC DVD and CD bundle.
Thank you to MC Fyte for procuring many of the donated items. Sheeza Freak, Liz Claymore, Slashire Kat, Roxxy Slide, Ginger Clobbers, Eva Lye, Kali and Ballista Blockheart also collected auction items, and their help was much appreciated.
We also collected gently used clothing and household items for women and children. These items were dropped off at InterAct by Beth Row and Kali, and it was enough stuff to require two separate trips! Thank you to everyone who donated their used items and bid on our auction items so that we could give so much to such a deserving organization.
Of course there is one special group of people, without whom none of this would be possible: our fans! Thank you to every one who came out to the November charity bout. If you didn’t make it we’ll see you on February 23rd!
