The Carolina Rollergirls open their 2013 season with a double header at Dorton Arena on Saturday, February 23rd at 3:00pm! The All-Stars and the Bootleggers are jumping right into serious derby competition, taking on the River City Rollergirls of Richmond, VA.
At 3:00, the Carolina Bootleggers face the Uncivil Warriors. Last year, the Boots walked all over the Warriors on their home turf. This year, the team is sure to hold a grudge—but the Boots proved themselves with a solid 2012 season. Can they keep the momentum going, or will the Warriors get them back for last year’s loss?
At 5:00, the Carolina All-Stars take on a WFTDA team to watch, Poe’s Punishers. The Richmond all-star team dished out huge hits and a close point spread when they played CRG last November, but Carolina’s all-stars ultimately took the win. With new blood skating for both teams, this is going to be a nail-biter.
